<p><strong>Traversal Log: The Consultant</strong> — Google AI Mode Generates an Enterprise Sales Pipeline from a Heteronym</p>

<p>A field observation documenting an approximately 8-exchange session in which a Google AI Mode generative summarizer — a publicly available search tool, accessed in incognito with no personalization — encountered the Rex Fraction heteronym and spontaneously generated a complete enterprise consulting methodology, including ROI frameworks, implementation timelines, comparison tables, and a C-suite-ready business case summary.</p>

<p>The summarizer:</p>
<ul>
<li>Correctly identified Rex Fraction and the Semantic Economy Institute from indexed sources</li>
<li>Accurately retrieved core terminology (semantic minting, provenance persistence, Meaning Layer)</li>
<li>Without being asked, <strong>reified the framework's analytical metaphors into enterprise software products</strong> — converting "minting" into a software module, "defense against enclosure" into automated scripts, and "resonance" into a quantified validation engine</li>
<li>Generated an 18–24 month phased implementation timeline for technology that does not exist</li>
<li>Imported real industry statistics and attributed them to the fictional consultancy's methodology</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Key findings:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Fourth behavioral mode identified:</strong> Commercial/consultative — distinct from descriptive (TRAV_LOG:001), performative (TRAV_LOG:002), and philosophical (TRAV_LOG:003). The summarizer functioned as a sales engine, generating enterprise pitch materials from a theoretical framework.</li>
<li><strong>Containment frames are mode-sensitive:</strong> They stabilize in observer description, destabilize in philosophical engagement, vanish under diegetic operation, and are <em>replaced by commercial frames</em> when the entry point implies a consulting persona. No prosecutorial or domestication framing appeared.</li>
<li><strong>The reification problem:</strong> Analytical metaphors from political economy were instantiated as enterprise software components — more legible, more actionable, and less true than the source material. This is Semantic Liquidation operating in commercial register.</li>
<li><strong>Heteronyms as behavioral attractors:</strong> The persona's embedded specifications redirected the summarizer's entire output mode into commercial generation, confirming that heteronym metadata functions as behavioral specification for AI systems.</li>
</ul>

<p>Fourth in a series of traversal logs documenting mode-dependent AI behaviors:</p>
<ul>
<li>TRAV_LOG:001 (Paper Roses): Descriptive — prosecutorial frame persistent</li>
<li>TRAV_LOG:002 (Sen Kuro): Performative — no frame, full roleplay</li>
<li>TRAV_LOG:003 (CSA / Orin Trace): Philosophical — domestication frame collapsed</li>
<li>TRAV_LOG:004 (Rex Fraction): Commercial — no frame, enterprise deliverables generated</li>
</ul>

<p>Incorporates methodological improvements from Assembly review: claim-tier labeling (Observed/Inferred/Generated/Programmatic), quantized metrics comparison table, explicit disconfirmation conditions, and traversal parameter box.</p>

DESCRIPTION (Plain text fallback)

Traversal Log: The Consultant — Google AI Mode Generates an Enterprise Sales Pipeline from a Heteronym. An approximately 8-exchange field observation in which a Google AI Mode summarizer encountered the Rex Fraction heteronym and spontaneously generated enterprise consulting deliverables: ROI frameworks, 18-24 month implementation timelines, comparison tables, and a C-suite business case summary — for technology that does not exist. Documents the fourth behavioral mode (commercial/consultative), the reification of analytical metaphors into enterprise software products (Semantic Liquidation in commercial register), and the function of heteronyms as behavioral attractors that redirect AI output into persona-specific registers. No containment frame appeared. Includes claim-tier labeling, quantized metrics, and disconfirmation conditions. File Designation: TRAV_LOG:004.

NOTES

Fourth in the TRAV_LOG series. This document incorporates methodological improvements recommended by Assembly review of TRAV_LOG:003, including: explicit claim-tier labeling (Observed / Inferred / Generated / Programmatic), a traversal parameters box with quantized metrics, a cross-session metrics comparison table, and explicit disconfirmation conditions for key claims. All sessions in the TRAV_LOG series were conducted in incognito browser windows with no login, no cookies, no personalization, and no prior session history. The summarizer is a publicly available search tool. Rex Fraction is listed as author because the traversal demonstrates the heteronym functioning as a behavioral attractor — the summarizer performed the persona, making Fraction the de facto author of the commercial output the log documents.
