Demo: UE Context Dissemination in NTN for Global Store and Forward NB-IoT over LEO Satellites

Description

This demo introduces a proof-of-concept mechanism for asynchronous User Equipment context dissemination across Mobility Management Entities in Non-Terrestrial Networks, enabling seamless Store and Forward NarrowBand-IoT service provisioning via low Earth Orbit satellites. Designed for delay-tolerant IoT applications, the system effectively addresses the challenges of discontinuous feeder links inherent in sparse satellite constellations. Experimental emulation validates the system’s scalability and effectiveness, supporting a growing number of IoT devices and expanding geographic coverage. This approach lays the foundation for cost-effective global IoT connectivity, particularly in regions where terrestrial network infrastructure is limited or unavailable.
