This work presents an art therapy experience based on puppet-making developed with people with deafblindness in a specialized care setting. Through a structured creative programme, the study explores how artistic work using tactile materials and body-based references supports body awareness, non-verbal communication, emotional expression, and social interaction.
\nThe research is grounded in a real-life intervention carried out over 16 weeks, during which participants created puppets inspired by their own bodies and later used them as tools for expression and interaction. The creative process becomes an accessible way to communicate emotions, share experiences, and build relationships, particularly in contexts where verbal communication is limited.
\nThe study highlights the role of art as an inclusive language and as an educational and therapeutic resource, showing how artistic practices can enhance well-being, autonomy, and social participation among people with multiple sensory disabilities.
