Equitable and Community-centered Urban Tree Planting

This report synthesizes results of multiple research projects and studies, conducted from 2020-2023 using a variety of methods including national surveys and focus groups with urban and community forestry professionals, to understand the social and cultural factors influencing the success of urban greening initiatives. The report identifies effective practices, along with specific
actions, to guide tree planting efforts that maximize social equity across diverse urban communities.
