Description

This archive contains linguistic autobiographies collected within the Erasmus+ CIRCE project (Counteracting accent dIscrimination pRactiCes in Education, grant agreement no. 2022-1-IT02-KA220-SCH-000087602).
The autobiographies were collected in Portugal and focus on personal experiences, reflections, and attitudes related to linguistic and accent-based discrimination in educational contexts and everyday life. The dataset consists of 59 written autobiographical texts produced in Portuguese by secondary school students in September 2025.
Written informed consent forms are securely stored in the institutional archive of the CIRCE project at University of Evora and are available for verification by authorised bodies.
The linguistic autobiographies have been anonymised and are primarily intended for educational and research use by secondary school teachers and students, as well as by university students and educators, particularly in the fields of language education, sociolinguistics, and teacher training.

Important Notice on Access Conditions
Given the sensitive nature of the autobiographical content and in accordance with the informed consent provided by participants, access to the texts is restricted and granted only upon request for non-commercial scientific research purposes. Metadata are openly available.
Access requests are subject to approval by the data controllers and must clearly state the research purpose, institutional affiliation, and intended use of the data. Use of the dataset is limited to non-commercial scientific research; redistribution and the creation of derivative works are not permitted. Requests for access and further information should be addressed to the Contact Person, as indicated in the archive documentation, in compliance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR).
