# Morphological Informality Modelled Dataset in Harare, Zimbabwe

The outputs are also visualised on the [IDEAMAP platform](https://www.ideamapsdataecosystem.org/)

## Overview

The dataset maps the **degree of morphological informality**—a spatial proxy for urban deprivation—based on the built environment structure.
It classifies every **100×100 m grid cell** into one of three categories:

- **0 – Low Informality:** Buildings are larger, detached from one another, and regularly arranged.
- **1 – Medium Informality:** Buildings are small and close together OR buildings are irregularly arranged. Roads are moderately present.
- **2 – High Informality:** Buildings are small and close together AND buildings are irregularly arranged. Roads are hard to visualise, or they are absent.
