A Structural-Constructivist Architecture for Affective Dynamics: The Core Emotion Framework (CEF) in Theoretical and Applied Psychology
Description
Consolidated canonical reference for the Core Emotion Framework (CEF), including full structural definitions, mechanistic model, clinical methodology, personality mappings, and AI alignment architecture.
Abstract
The Core Emotion Framework (CEF) proposes a structuralconstructivist architecture for
understanding affective dynamics across cognitive, relational, and motivational domains. By
identifying ten universal emotional operators and organizing them within a threecenter mechanistic
engine, the framework resolves longstanding tensions between discrete and dimensional emotion
theories. CEF integrates physiological feedback, cognitive appraisal, and executive control into a
unified computational loop, offering applications in clinical psychology, personality theory, and
artificial intelligence. This consolidated manuscript presents the theoretical foundations, structural
mechanisms, clinical methodology, personality mappings, and AI implications of the CEF, supported
by case studies and a canonical appendix defining the full architecture.
