Determinants of the military use of unmanned aerial vehicle systems

The dynamics of changes in international security significantly influence modifications of military concepts. As a result, this trend initiates an intensification of efforts related to prioritising the use of particular elements of weaponry. Experiences from recent years clearly indicate a growing popularity of unmanned systems, whose effectiveness in military applications suggests their further development in the coming years. The author of the article presents the main determinants of the use of unmanned aerial vehicles by conducting a case study of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. The considerations are based on an analysis of relevant normative acts, observations, and unauthorised expert interviews.
