The fruit-forming activity of industrial strains of Pleurotus ostreatus (Jacq.: Fr.) Kumm. and Cyclocybe cylindracea (DC.) Vizzini & Angelini on tunnel substrate from agricultural waste

  • 1. Donetsk State University

Description

A comparative analysis of the fruit-forming activity of industrial strains of Pleurotus ostreatus 'Etna' and Cyclocybe cylindracea 4022 on a complex agricultural waste substrate prepared using tunnel technology was conducted. Under controlled microclimate conditions, the yield of P. ostreatus in the first fruiting wave was 19.6 %, and for C. cylindracea, it was 12.3 %. Both fungi formed marketable quality fruit bodies on the tunnel substrate. Furthermore, the technological cycle for the production of P. ostreatus 'Etna' fruit bodies was shorter by 6 days than that of C. cylindracea 4022.
