This repository includes data and replication code required to reproduce all key results for the correction to Sherwin et al. 2024, US oil and gas system emissions from one million aerial site measurements.

Includes the Regional Oil and gas Aerial Methane Synthesis (ROAMS) model, introduced in this paper.

In some instances, we could not secure permission to reproduce underlying microdata required to produce inputs for the ROAMS model, e.g. well-level production data needed to summarize regional productivity characteristics. In those cases, which we denote in the paper and in this repository, we reproduce code that a user with access to these microdata could use to reproduce our full results.
