Joint Internationalization Strategy for Research & Innovation

The Joint Internationalization Strategy (JIS) developed within the RIS4SEB project presents a strategic framework aimed at enhancing research and innovation (R&I) capabilities among partner institutions: Bocconi University (BU), Kaunas University of Technology School of Economics and Business (KTU SEB), Prague University of Economics and Business (VSE), and Estonian Business School (EBS). The strategy addresses the pressing need for the widening universities to internationalize comprehensively, integrating global dimensions into education, research, and societal engagement.
The JIS has been conceived and developed to reduce the excellence gaps between widening and non-widening institutions, strengthen integration into the ERA, and support long-term institutional transformation. By consolidating capacities, improving access to competitive funding, and enhancing collaboration with established research networks, the JIS supports building more balanced and sustainable R&I ecosystems across Europe.
