Gĩkũyũ Lexicon of Literary Terms

This lexicon of Gĩkũyũ literary terms is compiled and translated by Mbũgua wa Mũngai for the African Literary Metadata project. Kimani Njogu’s (2004) Reading Poetry as Dialogue:An East African Literary Tradition (Nairobi: Jomo Kenyatta Foundation) was consulted in this research. Consultative discussion were also had with both Kimani Njogu (23/04/2025) and Mwaũra wa Mũthoni (29/05/2025).
