Empathic Intelligence: The Philosophical Foundations of Ethics in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

  • 1. Independent Research in AI Ethics & Procedural Intelligence

Description

Abstract
Understanding intelligence without understanding the Other is impossible. If we define the mind merely as a machine for problem-solving, we ignore the very dimension that makes us human  the capacity to perceive the feelings and intentions of another.

This paper examines the philosophical foundations of Empathic Intelligence, a perspective in which artificial intelligence must rise beyond computation and reach a moral understanding; an understanding not of sensation, but of respect.

It explores how intelligent technologies can embody Kantian ethics in a data-driven society, how Nietzsche’s concept of responsibility gains new meaning in the digital age, and how empathy may bridge human awareness with algorithmic perception.

Finally, it shows that ethics, for the first time in history, has been rewritten into the language of data  forming the philosophical foundation of empathic intelligence.
