DTO-BioFlow DUC 2 - Assessing the Ecological Impact of Offshore Infrastructures
Authors/Creators
Description
This factsheet presents DUC2: Impact from Offshore Infrastructures, one of the Demonstrator Use Cases (DUCs) developed within the DTO-BioFlow project. It is intended for environmental-impact assessors, marine spatial planners, and offshore industry decision-makers involved in evaluating and reducing ecological impacts from offshore developments, such as wind farms, pipelines, and platforms.
DUC2 integrates biological monitoring, acoustic telemetry, and habitat models to assess biodiversity responses and inform impact assessment within marine environments.
The Demonstrator Use Cases (DUCs) are at the core of DTO-BioFlow, showcasing how biodiversity observations, AI models, and the Digital Twin of the Ocean (DTO) can deliver digital solutions for marine sustainability.
