Globalisation and its impact on the state legal order: challenges to state sovereignty

  • 1. Nakhchivan State University. Nakhchivan, Republic of Azerbaijan

Description

The aim of the study was to examine the essence and dynamics of changes in the relationship between national and supranational law in the context of globalization processes. The work carried out a comparative legal analysis of regulatory mechanisms in a number of countries, Azerbaijan, Israel, Iran, and Turkey, which served as examples of varying degrees of openness to international legal influence and different models of interaction with globalization processes. It was established that globalization, as a multidimensional phenomenon, had a direct impact on the reduction of national jurisdiction. As a result of the study, the concept of adaptive sovereignty was proposed, which envisioned the ability of states to respond flexibly to global challenges while preserving the foundations of legal identity and control over the internal legal space.
