Background information

Adaption of Data Management Plan (DMP) DSW Knowledge Models and export template developed in the Norwegian collaboration project plan.research-data.no.
This collaboration between the University of Bergen, The Norwegian University of Science and Technology, the University of Oslo, UiT The Arctic University of Norway, PhD-On-Track and ELIXIR Norway originates from the project Data Management Plans: Support package for Norwegian higher education libraries, supported by the National Library of Norway.

The resources are to be used with the DMP tools Data Stewardship Wizard (Open Source) or FAIR Wizard (software-as-a-service). They are also available through the DSW registry or the FAIR Wizard Registry.
Accompanying information resources to the Knowledge Models are available under: plan.research-data.no: DMP Supporting Information.

Question tags can be combined in a modular way:

• Minimum: Questionnaire for less complex projects without personal/sensitive data, external partners, or external funding
• RCN/ Science Europe: Comprehensive questionnaire according to the RCN/ Science Europe recommendations (if combined with ELSI)
• ELSI: Additional questions for projects with ethical, legal, social implications
• HPC: Additional questions for computationally demanding projects

Additional question tags (for internal use within the project or the institution or customizing project templates): umbrella DMP, cross institutional project, maDMP, IT security, Horizon Europe

Changes in v1.1.0

Revision by plan.research-data.no editorial team after piloting the knowledge model. Changes include:

• Bugfixes and minor changes in the flow based on user feedback
• All references to institutional guidelines and policies in the knowledge model replaced with integration questions
• Improved (ROR, FairSharing, DataCite search) and new (ORCID, OMICS DI search, zenodo licenses, institutional guidelines and policies) integration configurations. All integrations migrated to Knowledge Model API Integration v2
• Migrated to parent Life Sciences DSW Knowledge Model 2.6.13

Usage notes

• The FAIRsharing API integration requires an authentication token
• Institutional guidelines and policies integrations point to an external location
