Material examined: Zhytomyr reg., Korosten distr., NW vic. of Zubkovychi, 23–24.VII.2024, 1♀ V. Yepishin leg. (VYe).

Lviv reg.: Nowicki 1860: 165 (Pempelia carbonariella); Klemensiewicz 1898: 158 (Pempelia), 1899: 182 (Pempelia); Brunicki 1912: 150 (Salebria). Khmelnytskyi reg.: Chranewytsch 1927: 6 (Salebria). Ivano-Frankivsk reg.: Bidzilya et al. 2006: 32. Chernivtsi reg.: Govorun 2002. Luhansk reg.: Demyanenko 2019: 160 (Matilella). New record from Zhytomyr region in more than a hundred years.
Remarks. The report of this species from Odesa region in Yepishin et al. (2024: 120) belongs to Isauria dilucidella (Duponchel, 1836) due to a misidentification. Thus, Pyla fusca should be excluded from the Pyraloidea list of Odesa region.
