Making Sense of Open Science: Report for the Public Hearing

This report summarizes the outcomes of the public hearing “Making Sense of Open Science – Public Hearing on the Principles and Practices of Data Management, Publishing Regimes, and Public Engagement in Science.” The event was organized as part of the OP JAK AMULET project — Advanced MUltiscaLe materials for key Enabling Technologies and took place under the patronage of the President and the Academic Council of the Czech Academy of Sciences.

The hearing was held in cooperation with the Open Science Department of the Library of the Czech Academy of Sciences and the Open Science Support Centre of Charles University, with media support from Vědavýzkum.cz, Vesmír magazine, and Academix revue. The event took place in the main building of the Czech Academy of Sciences on September 12, 2025, and was conducted in English and Czech.
