FORMALISING INDUSTRY 5.0
Description
This technical and normative contribution aims to propose the operational formalization of the Industry 5.0 paradigm. It is based on a comparative analysis of the main institutional, regulatory, and scientific sources at both European and international levels, taking as its central reference the definition of Industry 5.0 contained in UNI/PdR 155:2023. This definition is assessed against the three pillars of Industry 5.0 as defined by the European Commission — human centricity, sustainability, and resilience — and is proposed as an applicable framework to guide the transition toward generative and transformative organizational models. The work is situated within the emerging framework of the Paradigm 5.0, supported by recent evidence integrating antifragility, shared value, and systemic responsibility, in support of industrial policies oriented toward human well-being and long-term sustainability. The objective is to offer a concrete and replicable reference for policies, policy tools, technical standards, and European guidelines, contributing to bridging the current definitional gap and fostering the development of a shared normative language.
