        "description": "<p>In this report, four fabrics previously analyzed in 2022 were examined again after treatment with a new process variant developed by COEX, aimed at optimizing the pH of the materials. The treatment includes, in addition to the flame-retardant phase, a salification step designed to neutralize the pH. Alongside the assessment of the properties introduced by this new procedure, the effect of the softening process on the mechanical resistance and chemical composition of the fabrics was also investigated.<br>The results show an overall improvement in pH values, now within the optimal range for textile material preservation, as well as a potential benefit to the mechanical properties. The color variations observed in the salified samples are minor and close to the threshold of perceptibility. Overall, no significant differences were found between samples treated and untreated with the softening process, confirming the compatibility of the new procedure with conservation requirements.</p>",

    "description": "<p><span lang=\"IT\">Nel presente report sono stati analizzati quattro tessuti gi&agrave; oggetto di indagine nel 2022, trattati con una nuova variante del processo sviluppata da COEX, volta a ottimizzare il pH dei materiali. Il trattamento include, oltre alla fase ignifuga, un passaggio di salificazione finalizzato alla neutralizzazione del pH. Oltre alla valutazione delle propriet&agrave; introdotte dalla nuova procedura, &egrave; stato analizzato l&rsquo;effetto del processo ammorbidente sulla resistenza meccanica e sulla composizione chimica dei tessuti. I risultati mostrano un miglioramento complessivo dei valori di pH, ora entro i limiti ottimali per la conservazione dei materiali tessili, e un potenziale beneficio sulle propriet&agrave; meccaniche. Le variazioni cromatiche osservate nei campioni salificati risultano lievi e prossime alla soglia di percettibilit&agrave;. Nel complesso, non emergono differenze significative tra i campioni trattati e non trattati con l&rsquo;ammorbidente, confermando la compatibilit&agrave; del nuovo processo con i requisiti di conservazione.</span></p>",
