The Birthday of Waves and Photons: Doppler Effects, Redshift, Lightspeed, and Dimensional Forces
Creators
Description
I propose that photons have a birth time—a space-time point—because they are size-zero entities, and that much of cosmological redshift reflects interaction with cosmic matter/fields along the path rather than Doppler expansion. I outline a discrete, non-vacuum model of the electromagnetic environment (“ether” as the total effect of atoms’ fields), argue that the speed of light is a property of this environment, and sketch discrete gravity as a residue of electromagnetic fields. The paper connects photon generation to a sonic-boom-like emission at atomic transitions and proposes AI-based simulations for a finite, discrete universe. Predictions include path-dependent spectral skew and material/field-dependent redshift signatures. Package = preprint PDF (+ optional figures/data).
