PaF project (Landscapes Affected by Fire): Climatic and LAI data
Authors/Creators
Description
The project Landscapes Affected by Fire (Paf, Spanish acronym) analyzes how fire modifies the evolution of vegetation after an event. This dataset collects the climatic and LAI (Leaf Area Index) information for 1605 pixels covering 158 fire events in Aragón region (northeast Spain) in 1950-2015 period. The dataset was used to model the influence of the Standardized Precipitation-Evapotranspiration Index (SPEI) on the vegetation recovery in the 5-year period after the events. Data includes daily, monthly and seasonal precipitation and temperature information, SPEI at different temporal scales (lags) before and after the fires, climatic anomalies regarding the moment of the fire, and the type of vegetation community present at each pixel, previous to the fire events.
