Research data management cheat sheet

This one-page cheat sheet provides an accessible introduction to research data management (RDM) practices within a research group context. It was created to support new members joining the group by offering a concise overview of key procedures, responsibilities, and resources. The content draws on multiple sources from Aalto University, including training materials and internal presentations on data governance. This document can be tailored by principal investigators or other responsible persons to fit their own teams’ workflows. Topics covered include data storage, access rights for students and visitors, and institutional considerations such as database rights and attribution. It is intended as a practical, adaptable tool that complements onboarding to research data management practices.
