Estrategias de prevención del delito para la reducción del índice de criminalidad: un análisis bibliométrico

La prevención del delito es clave para reducir la criminalidad en contextos socioculturales diversos. El propósito de este estudio fue analizar la producción científica sobre prevención del delito, identificando tendencias y vacíos. Se realizó un análisis bibliométrico de 1.349 documentos Scopus (1973-2025) con VOSviewer y Bibliometrix, en un enfoque cuantitativo-descriptivo. Los hallazgos muestran un crecimiento anual del 7,69%, predominio de artículos (71,01%), baja colaboración internacional (17,35%) y subrepresentación de América Latina (2,7%). Las estrategias destacadas son vigilancia comunitaria, urbanismo seguro, mentoría juvenil, educación en habilidades sociales, monitoreo de reincidentes y análisis espacio-temporal, con campañas digitales. Se identifican fragmentación temática, escasez de diseños longitudinales y enfoque descriptivo. Concluimos que integrar factores psicosociales con evaluaciones rigurosas fortalecerá políticas públicas culturalmente adaptadas para reducir la criminalidad sosteniblemente.
