Rapid Evaluation Framework development timeline

Diagram providing an overview of the key steps and events, in sequential order, during the development of the Rapid Evaluation Framework (REF).  The time period covered spans approval for the CMIP Model Benchmarking Task Team to initiate development, through to launch of the CMIP7 version of the REF. Continued development and expansion of the REF, known as Climate REF, beyond this point is the responsbility of the WCRP Earth System Modelling and Observations (ESMO) Core Project.
