CHORD PAINTING

Description

Chord geometry/space is based on a chord (spectral encoding) string (geometric semantics) mapping protocol. A typical empirical form is chord painting (color painting), possessing quantized characteristics (f/n, mod 12).

The chord geometry organization process: (f/n, mod 12) optical chord (encoding) open-closed string, membrane (semantics) chord geometry.

The geometric semantics of chord encoding: Optical chord encoding contains geometric semantics and determines the spatial structure: Note: Corresponds to a single frequency (x) mod 12, constituting a point space.

Open String: Corresponds to minor triads (−7,−3,0) mod 12, forming an open/dividing line; Closed String: Corresponds to major triads (−7,−4,0) mod 12, forming an outline; Membrane: Corresponds to symmetrical chords, such as diminished seventh (0,3,6,9), whole tone (0,2,4,6,8,10), augmented third (0,4,8), and chromatic chords (0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11) mod 12, forming a continuous surface in nonlinear space.

Chord geometry framework: Triads (open chords, closed chords) define the boundaries of symmetrical chords (membranes); major triads (closed chords) generate contour lines, producing closed surfaces; minor triads generate open/faceted lines, and major and minor triads together constitute a "volume," thus generating chord space; all chords can be decomposed into notes: points.

When geometry/space transforms from a chordal/tonal state to a non-chordal/atonal state, its quantization disappears, manifesting as classical: points, lines, surfaces, volumes.

Chord geometry (space) is based on color painting as its observational foundation, uses first-person visual experiments as its research method, and employs experimental illustrations as its experimental reports.
