Using The Weibull Process Model to Assess Aircraft Engine Reliability

Description

When a complicated system is repaired (but not replaced) after failing, its dependability frequently depends on how old the system is. A non-homogeneous Poisson process may be used to mimic this age-dependent dependability if only minor repairs are undertaken to prevent the intensity (instantaneous rate) of system failure from being altered. In addition to providing estimate, hypothesis testing, comparison, and goodness of fit procedures when the process has a Weibull intensity function, this research study examines the practical consequences of the non-homogeneous Poisson process model for reliability. Weibull model applications in the aviation sector.
