Description

Atramhasis is an open source online vocabulary editor that allows users to create, maintain and consult controlled vocabularies and thesauri. It adheres to the SKOS specification (Simple Knowledge Organisation System), a W3C Recommendation that supports controlled vocabularies within the framework of the Semantic Web. SKOS provides a standard way to represent these vocabularies using RDF (Resource Description Framework), another W3C Recommendation that allows passing data between computer applications in an interoperable way.

Atramhasis offers users an easy to use graphical interface to manage controlled vocabularies. In addition it provides several webservices for integration purposes with other systems, including a RESTful API (JSON), publication of concepts and collections as RDF data in Turtle, RDF/XML, and JSON-LD formats and an integrated Linked Data Fragments Server (LDS), providing a SPARQL interface.
