Description

This deliverable addressed the knowledge gap on how wider science policy society interfaces may operate together and within the SHLL based on – among others - the literature analysis and co-designing workshops with partners. A functional definition of the SPSI is developed to match the soil health governance. A wide range of the activities implemented in the SPSIs are categorised into four functions—Stakeholder platform, Knowledge Co-creation, Knowledge Management and Knowledge Brokering. Owing to the developments in the demands of the evidence-based policy in addressing the societal demands, the theories applied in the SPSI have evolved to include range of research methods. In parallel, the principles are developed for the establishment and operationalisation of the SPSI processes. These principles, research methods, activities implemented in the SPSIs guide the designing of the future SPSIs. These tools and methods developed as the guidelines to establish the effective translation of the evidence and knowledge into actions on the policy on side and on the society on the other side.
