Description
Permanent identification of information, taking into account the aspects of law, trust and technology, is a necessary requirement for the future use of data by users and AI. Persistent Identifiers (PIDs) are used already heavily in scientific communication and many (P)ID Systems exist. In the presentation an overview of current national (Germany) and international activities, projects and developments related to PIDs and PID services is given.
