Sustainable Management of Livestock Waste- An Eco-Friendly Approach
Authors/Creators
Description
Animal waste is a heterogeneous material of solid manure, urine, feed residue, and wastewater which has rich organic content having different physical and chemical properties, becoming a major environmental issue as livestock production rises globally. Further the livestock waste can be processed into economic organic fertiliser as it may naturally increase soil fertility, lower environmental pollution, and promote sustainable agriculture. Organic fertilizer is a more ecologically friendly option than synthetic chemical fertilizers, this conversion of animal manure into organic fertilizer can benefit farmers financially in addition to lessening adverse environmental effects. Therefore, effective management of animal manure has the double advantages of protecting the environment and boosting agricultural output. By offering a thorough examination of primary contribution to environmental conservation,
the current study focuses on the possible advantages and difficulties connected to sustainable management of livestock waste practices.
