Der Prozess der Sammlungserschließung am Museum für Naturkunde Berlin richtet sich nach den Interessen der Nutzer:innen und den spezifischen Eigenschaften der Sammlungsobjekte, erfordert technologische Entwicklungen und will digitalen und physischen Standards gerecht werden. Jeder einzelne Schritt des Prozesses von der Überprüfung der Sammlungsobjekte, ihrer Konservierung, Restaurierung, Inventarisierung, Digitalisierung und Qualitätssicherung bis hin zur Unterbringung tragen dazu bei, eine resiliente Informations- und Forschungsinfrastruktur aufzubauen.
The process of collection discovery at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin is based on the interests of the users and the specific characteristics of the collection objects, requires technology developments and aims to meet digital and physical standards. Each step of the process, from the examination of collection objects, their conservation, restoration, inventory, digitization and quality assurance to storage, contributes to building a resilient information and research infrastructure.
