Description

The genus Corythucha Stål, 1873 has only two species - C. ciliata (Say, 1832) and C. arcuata (Say, 1832), which occur in Poland. Both species are invasive and can cause significant economic losses. C. arcuata was first reported in Poland in 2021. The paper presents new data on the distribution of this true bug in Poland from 2023 to 2025. C. arcuata was first recorded in the Pieniny Mts., the Nowy Targ Basin, the Eastern Beskid Mts., the Kraków-Wieluń Upland, the Lesser Poland Upland and in the Sandomierz Lowland. The new data strongly confirm the current invasion of this insect in south-eastern Poland.
