Between Mirrors AI as Reflection and Passage
Creators
Description
This article explores the conceptual and practical intersections between two distinct reflections on artificial intelligence as a mirror of human subjectivity: the academic tool Algorithmic Mirror and the symbolic essay OpenAI as the Mirror of Erised. Drawing from both empirical data visualization and psychological metaphor, the paper analyzes how AI can function either as an instrument of critical literacy or as a symbolic projection of personal desire. It proposes a hybrid path, aligned with the XChronos Project's mission, to use AI as a medium for introspective awareness and digital emancipation. The study bridges algorithmic transparency with symbolic ethics, offering an innovative framework for understanding ourselves through the systems we create.
