Description
FIGURE 6. Maximum Likelihood tree of the Lygodactylus verticillatus group based on a concatenated alignment of DNA sequences (11,241 bp) of five mitochondrial and ten nuclear gene fragments. Inset pictures show representative individuals of the two target lineages, L. ornatus and L. namoroka sp. nov. Values at nodes are bootstrap proportions in percent (1,000 replicates). A sequence of L. miops was used as the outgroup (graphically excluded to better illustrate branch lengths within the L. verticillatus group). Included individuals are listed after the species name; sequences of the two paratypes of L. namoroka were also obtained and deposited in Genbank.
