PathOS Training Session: Exploring the Economic Impact of Open Science

On March 28, 2025, we hosted an insightful webinar on the Economic Impact of Open Science, focusing on how Open Science fosters economic growth and innovation, particularly within the life sciences sector. 

The session featured experts Lena Tsipouri (OPIX) and Despoina Sousoni (ELIXIR), who presented key findings from a scoping review and a detailed case study on the use of open bioinformatics resources by industry. The case study highlighted how these resources play a crucial role in driving innovation and generating economic benefits.
