The purpose of this original article is to explain new developments and trends in world trade in the context of regionalization, digitalization, culture, competition strategies, geopolitical risks and sustainability.

The starting point of the views put forward in the article on new developments and trends in world trade is the findings and results of the research examining the relationship and interactions between organizational culture, competitive strategies and competitive advantage in businesses and the mediating role of competitive strategies in the effect of organizational culture on competitive advantage.

The results of this research show that organizational culture and competitive strategies have a significant effect on achieving sustainable competitive advantage and that competitive strategies play a mediating role in this effect. Therefore, it is important for businesses to develop their organizational culture and have competitive strategies in order to achieve competitive advantage.

On the other hand; especially after the 2019 pandemic period, it is seen that new trends and developments in world trade are significantly related to culture, competitive strategies and competitive advantage in order to gain competitive advantage.

Therefore; In this article, new trends in world trade aimed at gaining competitive advantage are explained in terms of regionalization, culture, digitalization, competitive strategies, geopolitical risks, and sustainability elements.
