Description of how the data were created (contextual information):
The German Center for Diabetes Research (DZD) conducts large clinical multicenter studies in the field of diabetes and metabolic research. With the DZD Core Data Set, the DZD has defined a list of clinical parameters relevant for diabetes research. The DZD Core Data Set consists of 8 modules with 147 items as well as additional optional modules for investigations.
A detailed description of each parameter contributes to standardization of data collection and ensures that all data are uniformly designated, defined, and recorded in the same format across studies.
The DZD Core Data Set is geared towards research projects in the field of prediabetes, type 2 diabetes and metabolism research in adults.
