BRYOMOLECULES - D6.3 Data Management Plan, first version
Creators
Description
The data collected and generated by the BRYOMOLECULES project will be instrumental to fuel in
the years to come the development of novel bio-based products based on bryophyte-derived
natural compounds, according to the concept of EU valorising biodiversity for EU bioeconomy.
Data and associated metadata used and generated by BRYOMOLECULES will be managed
according to this document (from now on, the Data Management Plan or “DMP”), developed by
the project management with all partners in compliance with the “Guidelines on Data
Management in Horizon Europe” and the “FAIR Guiding Principles for scientific data management
and stewardship” guidelines. In particular, the DMP describes (i) the type, format and volume of
the generated data, (ii) the metadata and documentation provided to make it findable,
interoperable and reusable, (iii) the preservation plan beyond the end of the project, (iv) the
modalities of data sharing and licensing for re-use, (v) the resources allocated to data
management, (vi) data storage and back up policies during the active phase of the project, as well
as (vii) the handling of personal data.
The DMP will be published and open access in draft form (D6.3 Preliminary Data Management
Plan), and will be regularly revised to integrate changes/updates when appropriate, until the end
of the project, when the final version will be released (D6.8 Data Management Plan final version).
The DMP describes the management life cycle for the data/metadata to be collected, processed
and/or generated by the project. In line with the FAIR and OpenScience principles, the data not
covered by IPR by Consortium partners and/or publication in scientific journals will be made
available adopting the CC BY-NC license for academic use, while commercial use outside of the
Consortium will be negotiated case by case. Access in anonymized form to restricted data may
be granted for verification purposes only. Open access to data covered by IPR will be granted as
soon as the IPR filing will be approved, or the scientific publications will be accepted. Accepted
manuscripts will be deposited as soon as possible, and at the latest 6 months after publication.
