How to perform a simulation chain with the MFT detector
-------------------------------------------------------

1) simulation:

10 events each with 100 muons using GEANT3 as transport engine:

./run_sim_mft.sh 10 100 TGeant3

2) digitization:

./run_digi_mft.sh 10 100 TGeant3 1 50.e3

- the fourth parameter is "1=true" to use the ALPIDE digitization

- the fifth <rate> parameter can be zero, which means the digitization is
done in "triggered" mode, when all digits are available at once, or
it can have a value in Hz (50.e3 = 50kHz) which means that the
digitization is done in continuous mode, per Read-Out frame at 50kHz
collision frequency

3) clusterization:

./run_clus_mft.sh 10 100 TGeant3

4) check the digits:

root.exe
.x CheckDigits_mft.C+(10,100,"TGeant3")

5) check the clusters:

root.exe
.x CheckClusters_mft.C+(10,100,"TGeant3")

6) launch the tracker

./run_trac_mft.sh 10 100 TGeant3 <rate>

Conversion to/from raw format
-----------------------------

1) rename the MC simulations and parameter files as o2sim.root and o2sim_par.root (keep also the old file names if the steps above are to be executed too)

2) run the digitization

./run_digi_mft.sh

this will produce the files o2digi_mft.root and o2sim_grp.root

copy the file o2digi_mft.root to AliceO2_TGeant3.digi_<nev>ev_<nmu>mu.root for
the clusterization from the ROOT digits directly

previous point 2) becomes obsolete!

3) convert digits to raw format

root.exe -b -q run_digi2raw_mft.C+

this will produce the file o2digi_mft.raw

4) run clusterization from digits in raw format

root.exe -b -q 'run_clus_mftSA.C+("o2clus_mft_raw.root","o2digi_mft.raw",1)'

Note: the macro CheckClusters_mft.C can not be executed because the MC
information is missing when clusterizing from the raw format digits.
