Description

With this reproduction package the results published in the paper "From Hope to Heuristic: Realistic Runtime Estimates for
Quantum Optimisation in NHEP" by Maja Franz, Manuel Schönberger, Melvin Strobl, Eileen Kuehn, Achim Streit, Pía Zurita, Markus Diefenthaler, and Wolfgang Mauerer, presented at the International Conference of  Computing in High Energy and Nuclear Physics (CHEP24), 2024, can be reproduced.

A preprint of the paper can be found on arXiv and the slides for our talk are available on indico.

The source code is also available on GitHub.

Artifact: "spectral_gap_nhep.tar.gz" -- compressed source code (same as on GitHub)
For information on how to replicate our results, we refer to the README.md (either in the artifact, or on GitHub).
