CLINICAL COURSE OF ALLERGIC RHINITIS IN PATIENTS WITH HEPATITIS A

Allergic rhinitis (AR) is a common chronic condition characterized by nasal congestion, rhinorrhea, and sneezing, associated with IgE-mediated hypersensitivity to environmental allergens. Hepatitis A is an acute, self-limiting liver infection caused by the hepatitis A virus (HAV). The coexistence of AR and HAV is rare, and data on their interaction and clinical management are limited. This case report discusses a patient who presented with concomitant AR and HAV, highlighting diagnostic difficulties, treatment strategies, and implications for clinical practice.
