(a) Non-commercial use This license allows for free non-commercial use by the following types of institutions: 1. Universities and non-profit research institutes. 2. Environmental/social focused NGO. 3. (Inter)national environmental agencies. “Non-commercial use” means any use that is not intended to generate financial gain or commercial advantage. Specifically, it excludes: (i) Contracted or commissioned activities ('work-for-hire') by the entities listed above; (ii) Any use intended to generate revenue, including but not limited to consultancy fees or licensing fees, except for grant funding; and (iii) Any use by for-profit entities.
