Description
The article deals with the unpublished manuscript that consists of several sermons written in Ruthenian language in the middle of the 17th century. The author of the tests could be identified with Theophan Hyrski, the official preacher of Myletsk St. Nicolaus monastery in Ukrainian Volyn. Most of the sermons are dedicated to the actively
venerated saints: St. Nicolaus, St. Onuphrius, St. John Chrysostom and St. John the Beloved. Although the sermons express only a few hagiographical details, they are very interesting examples of the earlymodern Ukrainian preaching texts.
