This presentation was delivered as part of the IOAP OIPA Webinar: “Delivering Open Access for Books by Default: The Role of Community-Led Funding Models and Infrastructures”, on 24 October 2024.

The presentation begins by introducing the Opening the Future revenue model for open access books: illustrating how the model works and highlighting some of its successes. The presentation also shares some of Opening the Future's plans for the years ahead, as well as acknowledging the challenges it currently faces. 

Tom Grady is a Work Package Lead on Copim's Open Book Futures project and helped to launch the Opening the Future revenue model for open access books.
