  • 1. ROR icon Birkbeck, University of London
  • 2. Opening the Future

Description

This presentation was delivered as part of an "Introduction to OA" UKSG Webinar, on 21 August 2024.
The presentation begins by introducing Copim and the Open Book Futures project. Grady then discusses why OA monographs are important, and examines some of the funder mandates associated with OA book publishing. Grady asks: "Who pays for closed/tradition book publishing?"; "Who (mostly) pays for OA book publishing?" and what are some of the revenue models currently in operation?

Tom Grady is a Work Package Lead on Copim's Open Book Futures project where he helped to launch the Opening the Future revenue model for open access books.

Notes
