Visualizing Nanoparticle Surface Dynamics and Instabilities Enabled by Deep Denoising (Data)

Description

This contains the description of the raw and processed in situ atomic resolution transmission electron microscopy images presented in the paper Visualizing Nanoparticle Surface Dynamics and Instabilities Enabled by Deep Denoising published in Science. The data was recorded from Pt nanoparticles supported on CeO2 and from pure CeO2 nanoparticles.  The Pt/CeO2 data was acquired at room temperature in a CO atmosphere. The data is in the form of time resolved movies. The time resolution for the movies are ~13 ms and 130 ms per frame for the Pt/CeO2 and pure CeO2 data, respectively. Further details on the data acquisition are given in the journal article. The data was denoised using an unsupervised deep video denoising (UDVD) approach as described in the manuscript and cited publications. The denoising code is also available on Zenodo. The data includes pairs of raw and denoised movies to allow the interested reader to test their implementation of the UDVD code. The data is grouped according to the four primary figures in the paper. For more information on AI-powered denoising see: https://kangningthu.github.io/AI-powered-denoising/
