Meatless Mondays? Evidence-Based Work and Action Against Animal Suffering

The extent to which non-human animals suffer is enormous. To make things worse, loads of new factory farms are being built around the globe, despite decades of animal advocacy and the rise of the climate movement. What went wrong? How should we continue from here? Should we lobby for animal rights, occupy slaughterhouses, demand "meatless Mondays?" In my talk, I summarize evidence from past and present efforts against animal suffering, and derive what this evidence means - for activists, students, and professionals alike.
