O conceito da Gravitação Tonal em Lydian Chromatic Concept Of Tonal Organization de George Russell

Description

Abstract (English)

The article investigates the Lydian Chromatic Concept of Tonal Organization (LCCOTO), developed by George Russell, with an emphasis on its foundational concept: Tonal Gravity. Presented as a theoretical and practical tool for performance, composition, and musical analysis, we exemplify how the LCCOTO addresses tonal gravity across the vertical, horizontal, and supravertical levels. Through the research, we aimed to understand and connect the development of this concept with its foundations in the physical and acoustic principles of sound. Finally, the study reveals how the tonal gravity at different levels offers a new musical perspective, providing greater poetic freedom in various aspects areas of musical practice.
