Co-UDlabs: promoviendo la investigación e innovación en los sistemas de drenaje urbano

Description

This paper presents the work developed by the Water and Environmental Engineering Group (GEAMA) of the Universidade da Coruña (UDC) within the framework of the European project Co-UDlabs. Sewer and urban drainage systems are critical infrastructures that are facing major challenges such as the increased risk of flooding, the aging and deterioration of their assets, or the growing need to control pollution in rainy weather. Nowadays it is necessary to foster innovation and research to address these problems. In this context, large-scale research infrastructures are essential to test and validate new technologies and procedures prior to their full-scale implementation. In this context, the UDC team is developing new technologies for the use of artificial vision for hydraulic and pollutant monitoring, systems based on temperature sensors to estimate sediment accumulation or new methods for the analysis of clogging of permeable pavements.
